My name is Melissa Hansford; most know me as Missy. I am a Williamsburg native and have deep roots in the community. I am a 2004 graduate of Whitley County. I started my career in mental health around 2012. I love working with all ages and have a deep passion to help others enjoy their life and not “just get through the day”. We all have our own traumas and life experiences, but that does not mean you can’t heal and live the life you deserve. I graduated with my Masters in Arts in Professional Counseling from our hometown college, University of the Cumberlands, in 2015. I am excited to be working on being a board certified Perinatal Mental Health provider for those struggling around pregnancy and postpartum issues (mom and dads!). I am also working towards being a certified Brainspotting therapist and I am super excited to bring such a wonderful modality to my clients. I am also excited to be able to work with some wonderful individuals who will be able to provide local targeted case management and community support services for our community.
